I like very much how devoted Orlando is to Billy, in his deeper feelings, but also in his friendship. Yes, he is interested in Billy, but it's clear that he puts Billy's happiness above all. It's beautiful when love and friendship are entwined like this. And I'm glad to see that Billy is on a path to something better in his life--I hope he gets there soon. Thank you so much for this story and Happy New Year :).

I'm so glad you liked this hon, I was chewing fingernails because I know how fond you are of Dom, but he fit so neatly into the role that I couldn't do anything else.

I love wise!Orlando, and that he knows Billy has to find his own path, or whatever they might have won't mean much.

And yaye for bonus!Viggo/Karl. I would totally be up for a sequel to this, if you ever felt like writing one.

Wow, that pattern of abusive relationship is pretty familiar, and I've seen how hard it is to escape. I like that you didn't make Dom completely selfish, that would have hurt too much.

OMG! That was one of the best Monaboyd stories I have ever read!! Totally put it in my memories!! I read this at work and I could not stop myself from making noises like 'Damn', 'Aww', and laughing when Orlando dissed Evi!! LOL! But Orlando showed he is a good friend, even if nothing 'more' came from his relationship with Billy. You wrote Dom quite well...but what gives me comfort is that in real life - Dom would never let Billy walk out that door - ever!! And we all know that Orlando was always secretly pinning away for Billy - throughout NZ and now. Poor Orlando he thought that Billy and him would be tight and that Billy would consider him one of his closest friends, but then Billy met Dom and poor Orlando watched from the sidelines as Dom became 'everything' to him. Guess that's why Orlando makes special trips himself to go see Billy in Scotland. The whole fellowship needs couple counseling if you ask me! LOL! But we still love them all and just hope that no one ever treats anyone else in the fellowship like this in your story ( ... )
