Ashamed to be Americans
People disgust me.
I wish they'd get their fucking heads out of their asses and start being human. If it was their friend, their families down in the Gulf Coast it would be different. It would matter. Well, guess what? It IS you friends, it IS your family! MILLIONS of people have no fucking homes to go back to. MILLIONS of homeless AMERICANS, and a government and President who LET IT HAPPEN. What the fuck is wrong with this country? Why can't we take care of our own? We can stick our big fat noses into the other countries' problems, though, can't we? I'm so entirely sick of this country's politics and leaders. I truly am ashamed to call myself an American. I'm a human being with compassion and understanding. What are you?

Please take the time to do this. Millions of fellow humans need your compassion and understanding. Thousands are dead. To me, this is more tragic than 9/11. Sure, this was a natural disaster, but this could have been handled better. More lives could have been rescued/spared/saved. Don't just sit there and read over this and say it doesn't matter and you can't help. Stop being so fucking selfish. Pull your parents aside and tell them you want to help. Make people aware that they CAN make a difference, even if it's just a small one.
