Pairing: Remus/Ron
Rating: PG13
Word Count: 318
Scenario: At night, Ron believes he can see Harry again (yes, thus meaning, Harry is dead), and Remus believes him.
“Madam Pomfrey! Quick, let me have one of these beds I think I’ve been poisoned or drugged or something!”
Remus Lupin, who was lazily reading the Daily Prophet, uncrossed his lanky legs, stood up and ran into the infirmary after the hysterical Ron.
“What’s going on Mr. Weasley?” He asked.
“This is my patient, Thank you very much.” Madam Pomfrey ushers Lupin aside quickly to check Ron over.
“Now, what’s happening? You look quite well to me.” She asks.
“I’ve been hallucinating. The last three nights I’ve seen Harry come to my bed!” Ron says flopping himself face down into the pillow.
Pomfrey turns him back over with a huff and sticks a thermometer in his mouth. “Harry? Harry Potter?”
Ron nods.
She turns to Lupin. “I knew the school wouldn’t be able to handle his death. Mark my words, Ronald won’t be the first to go mad in this castle.”
Remus walks along side of his bed as he watched Pomfrey toddle off in a frantic to tell the Headmaster.
Once she was gone, he pulled the thermometer from Ron’s mouth and saw it revealed no fever.
“Tell me Ron, what happens when you see him?”
“He tells me he’s sorry…” Ron paused.
“Please go ahead.” Remus persisted.
“He tells me he’s sorry that he never had a chance to see if it work between us.” Ron’s face reddened as he spoke.
Remus Lupin looked at him oddly for several minutes, paling severely as each one passed.
Madam Pomfrey burst back into the room with Headmaster Albus Dumbledore. “See, there you have it Headmaster. The first and certainly not last case of madness caused by shocked emotions.”
“I believe him.” Lupin cuts in quite seriously.
“You mean you think he’s real?” Ron asks.
“Yes.”
“Why do you look so pale all of a sudden Professor Lupin?” Ron asks.
Lupin gulped. “Because he told me the same thing.”
