i am now officially an English major
Bah! hehehe.
i met with my advisor yesterday, and we spoke for about 45 mins or so. She's really cool, and after we chatted for a bit, she told me that it sounds more like i don't need a CLAM, but a focused English major, with a literature concentration. The electives will be more on the grammar/linguistic aspect, and then once i'm done, there's this editor's workshop either in NYC or Colorado that she knows of that's like a few weeks out of the summer that i could take. i told her that now i'm free & clear (divorced), i can go wherever and do whatever, so that would be really awesome. She signed me up for an intro class, and said that i should practice writing (i may end up doing that here, dunno yet).
Then i had my eye appointment. Felt like a kid again, going to the optometrist for the first time. Got all the drops put in, and my pupils were dialated for a few hours. Scary! It hurt to drive home. A LOT. i crashed after i got home.
Saw X3: The Last Stand. Craptacular!! i knew that changing directors would be a bad idea, i just had no clue HOW bad. ugh. The dialogue was shitty, the effects ok, and there were too many occurrances/people just placed in the movie for shock value. i heard there were inaccuracies with Juggernaut too, a la Bane in Batman 4, but i don't know enough of his character's story to be able to tell, although i could tell in the movie that there was definetely *some*thing wrong. Alkali was hOt, so at least there was some eye candy ;) i also felt like i was getting beaten over the head with irony.
i sincerely can't wait for Superman to come out, because i think i would watch just about anything Bryan Singer directs. *gasp!* He and Angela Robinson should get together to do a movie!! Kick ass directing AND writing!! Dude!! That would KICK ASS!! AND it would be FUNNY as all get-out.
So, yeah. Thursday night was thankfully drama-free. It was the night of Girl's exes, though, which was really funny. And she wouldn't stop dancing!! She'd do flirty dances, then she slid on the floor to Ram, i got to straddle her on stage while she laid down (heheheheee...), she started climbing on me when *i* laid down on the stage (heheheheheee...), and then she finished off the night doing actual dance steps, which was *really* fun to watch :D
Oh, yeah. And it turns out that the girl i didn't want to see who was there (315-er) is the ex of That Girl's ex. AGGHHH!! FUCKING LESBIANS!! heh. And 315er kept trying to flirt & dance with me, but she was there with some 19 yr old who works with her, and also ended up going into the bathroom with Girl's ex! yeeg.
"it's a small world after allllll..." umm, yep.
So tonight is the White Party at RJ's. Girl should be there, but i have to drag her away from her Bopo (yes, Bopo) friends. And Ram'll be there (thankfully w/out her new fuckbuddy, cuz the girl has NO personality), and maybe one of her King friends, who likes to buy me drinks :D
Also have to call Jude, to solidify plans for tomorrow.
