I shall attempt to contain my last thoughts for the year while the remaining minutes of 2007 continue to tick away. Phew...what can I say? 2007 was a year of painful transformations and significant life lessons. For almost the entire year I had devoted myself almost entirely to a single purpose, only to be slapped in the end by the excruciating realization that all my efforts were in vain. But my time was definitely not wasted. I am extremely grateful for all those experiences I had gone through, and all the people I shared them with, and I feel that I've grown significantly in just the span of a year, thanks to them.
As excited as I am for 2008, I feel quite sad that 2007 is over. It's like one big final nudge for me to let go of the past and allow that chapter to finally come to a proper close.
Ahhh...well. I don't want to end this year with woes and regrets. I am definitely looking forward to starting over for 2008. I will not take any more opportunities for granted. Committing that mistake has caused me so much pain during the past year, and I won't let it happen again. I'm also happy because my teenage years are finally coming to an end, giving way to the chaotic world of adult life, and I feel like I have this whole new clean slate to start over. I'm so excited, I know 2008 is going to be awesome.
