Hey Flist. < RANT > I'm writing to you from my dad's computer, as a recent torrent of rain and ferocious lighting storms has fried our modem and this is now the only computer that can connect to el interwebz. And it is pissing me off six way til sunday, as it refuses to do what I ask of it, such as sign into the
Asian Drama Streaming site I use or
Colour Lovers. But! Today was a good day. I went to Cocoa Beach with Catie and we sent a message in a bottle. :) It was fun. But the waves were pretty violent with all the bad weather we've been having, so Catie didn't want to stay in the water with all the cute boys. :/
In other news, my parents told me that today they went car shopping for me. This did not surprise me, as we've been browsing recently. What did surprise me was that they went to a car dealership and were actually going to buy me a new car. Like, brand new. They figured that paying more for a car now is better than spending 3K and then having it break down and spend even more money fixing it. Luckily, the deal fell through. Why luckily, you ask? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? THE INSTANT I GOT INTO THAT CAR I WOULD WRECK IT. It's a simple application of Murphy's law. If something bad can happen, it will. A brand new car? wouldn't last a day with me. Seriously. I have a much better chance with a used car. My parents have settled on getting me a slightly better used car than a cheap piece of junk or a 13K Yaris right off the lot. *face palm* Let's be reasonable here, shall we parents? Oh, and after they drop that bomb, they mention that they almost set me up, too. With the dealership manager's kid. That's just like icing on the spite cake for Cory. >< My dad said he showed the manager my picture and he said I was gorgeous. HELLO, dad, he's trying to sell you a car. He would have said that even if I looked like the Before of an Extreme Makeover case. Oh, and I don't think I mentioned this, or did I? That Nicole tried to set me up with her black British co-worker? I don't understand why this is so hard for people to understand, but I do not do set-ups. End of story. *sigh*

Well, now that that's all out of my system, I think I'll go back to reading the How to Read Lit Like a Professor. It's actually quite enjoyable. :)
