the end

well, i have 2 days left after today of full time work at landrum & brown, then i have 2 true off days before i start classes on wednesday of next week. this has been a successful co-op quarter for me i would say, simply because i made it through my job not only without being fired, but with once again being asked to come back next co-op quarter/work part time during classes this quarter. naturally i accepted the part-time status because it's not going to be bad, but as you all know from my rants in the past that i don't enjoy programming nearly as much as i used to. so i don't think i'll be coming back to this company for another co-op, unless i can't get a job anywhere else. but my goal is to get a job at one of the following: intel, apple, or texas instruments. these jobs would have me moving to california, california, or texas (respectively). it is because of this moving out of state/living on my own that i've been evaluating my money situation for the past several weeks. currently, i have my tuition for fall quarter payed. i have a $265 credit card bill, and a few more books to buy yet. i have 2 more full-time status checks coming my way still. first one will be around $1000, which will cover credit card bill/books with a little left over. 2nd one will be more around $800-900 most likely. then i will get my part-time checks based on the hours i work, along with my paycheck from circuit city that i still get. the circuit city paycheck covers car payments, cell phone bill, and usually the credit card bill.

if you remember this post, i was trying to decide if i should buy a $500 guitar, a wii, or a new ipod. i am going to buy a wii, no question there. so i'll need around $400 for the system and a couple of games off the bat. i also need $50 for guitar hero 2 when that comes out in november. i also need $200 or so to buy christmas presents with for my family/select friends. now i should just put the rest of my remaining co-op pay aside for future tuition/rent/whatever i might need it for while i'm out of town for 3 or 6 months working, but i'm considering buying an ipod. the guitar is too expensive and i'm not going to buy it. but apple just announced ipod price drops, and an 80 gb model for only $350. i will probably buy that. so i won't be saving as much as i should but oh well.

in other news, i got 2 new cds yesterday that came out. the new mastodon album, entitled blood mountain, which is absolutely amazing. i am seeing these guys on saturday night and i cannot wait. i also got the new mars volta album, amputechture, which i haven't gotten to listen to much of since i left it at home when i was going to listen to it all day today at work. oh well, tomorrow i guess.

todd bought lego star wars 2 for xbox360 yesterday and let me tell you it is loads of fun. i might buy it for ps2 or gamecube or regular xbox. i feel a desire to get myself back into video games once again, but at the wrong time because i will be crushed with schoolwork this quarter. when i wasn't smashed with school, i didn't have a big desire to play video games. go figure.

in other news, i have to get back to working for another hour and a half.

money, work
