I just finished my taxes and boy does having a house help. I owed the feds like $450 but because of all the property taxes I paid te state is refunding me over $500. Yay money.
Also, because of those same property taxes being slightly lower than the bank thought they'd be my mortage company refunded me over a hundred bucks from my tax escrow.
All told I'm going to get about $250.
Which of course I just spent on tickets for tomorrow night's Red Wings game. Section 118 Row 14. Or look here if you want to be jealous: Joe Louis Seats
