More GW hype!

The BBC is really starting to get under my skin with this propaganda campaign.
The chief carbon dioxide analyst for NOAA says the latest data confirms a worrying trend that recent years have, on average, recorded double the rate of increase from just 30 years ago.
Note once more how they jump from the data directly to the disconnected conclusion that it is human caused. Just between Etna, Pinetubo, Merapi, Kilawaia, and St. Helens, I can account for most of the CO2 and those are just the largest (most famous) eruptions of the past 30 years. There are literally scores of others. The UK government's chief scientific adviser, Professor Sir David King, said the new data highlighted the importance of taking urgent action to limit carbon emissions.
Of course, this has nothing to do with the recent increases of volcanic activity [sic]. The article is a pure Pulitzerization. Merapi's recent eruption puts out more CO2 and other pollutants then our entire civilization can produce in one year (a very safe and conservative statement).
"Today we're over 380 ppm," he said. "That's higher than we've been for over a million years, possibly 30 million years. Mankind is changing the climate."
and even this is false. Granted, these levels are high but they aren't man-caused nor are they the highest [that's pure propoganda]. Before we can blame ourselves we need to discount natural causes. What I know we'll find is that humans are really as inconsequential as we fear. Nature is still the boss and standing in the way of the global warming tide is going to do nothing but get us drowned. Just like King Canute. Actually, worse. If we don't waste our resources trying to play "Don Quixote v. the windmills" then we might stand a chance of getting everyone out of the way, without going broke in the process and keeping our civilization intact.

BTW, another indicator that this is pure propoganda, the BBC has a talk-back on every major issue except this one. This means that they are not willing to hear contrary opinion or give it a voice.

fools, climate, volcanoes, global warming, pulitzer
