There is a problem with all the Global Warming articles that I have found and the BBC is the biggest culprit. I've posted
this link before so it isn't a surprise but it serves as a typical example.
Using data from tidal gauges and reviewing findings from many previous studies, US researchers have constructed a new sea level record covering the last 100 million years.
They calculate the present rate of rise at 2mm per year.
"The main thing that's changed since the 19th Century and the beginning of modern observation has been the widespread increase in fossil fuel use and more greenhouse gases," said Kenneth Miller from Rutgers University.
Note carefully that last paragraph and then go back to the article and find anywhere that it mentions any sort of evidence or even a conjucture that links the research mentioned with this statement. This is a disconnected statement. A conclusion with absolutely no support.
This is typical of almost every article I've seen (especially those from the BBC) that purports to prove anthropogenic connections between our climate and our civilization.
