i forgot to give a pre-vacation work wrap up

So after a few more shifts I ran into Jon and learned what was really going on that one tense night.

I was right, he did want to take a swing at me.

He thought I ratted him out. I said, hey, I was asked, I never brought shit up. If Jon wants a target he wants Charlie and no way he will go there. Hehe. Anyways, Jon and I were cool, for the moment.

He was pissed that I didn't "warn" him. Jesus, it's like having to tell a gravedigger his job, it's bullshit.

Jon then told me he'd had a few talks with Tom and Bill (store manager) and there was talk of part time, firing, transfers, etc. Jon thought he had one up on them because he claimed, "I can't be demoted or anything without a write up". Or as they call it in Publix land, a "counseling statement". The loltastic part is shortly after he said that to me, Bill pull him aside and gave him that write up.

I dunno what to think. It was really nice to work with a motivated Jon again for a change. But he shouldn't have to have one foot in the grave to be motivated.

I talked to Charlie again, as always, after work. Love the guy. He's my guide and my mentor, I've realized. Me going on vacation, I was wondering what would happen. And who knows, we agree. Some think nothing will happen until I return. Makes sense. Can't suddenly lose 70+ hours after all.

Anyways with my time off, who knows. It's nice so far. Miss the exercise though. Think I'll grow a week's worth of wolverine chops for the hell of it.
