'how wrong we were to think that immortality meant never dying'
There's some good stories out there in the fanfic world and then there's some bad ones, but every now and then you come across a just plain bizarre story that's hard to wrap your head around. One such fic I was reading was pretty decent but then suddenly I'm reading some weird sex bit between a tiger demon shapeshifter thing and a vampire, and I'm wondering how I got there. I mean, really, an animal thing and vampire, who knows how that worked. But I did press on as I'd been following the story for a while, it's pretty dense so some sections went over my head on my slow days, but the last few chapters were pretty good, odd creature sex aside. I do love a well written S/M fic and the good ones are hard to come by so I suppose I have to take what I can get.
Anyway, leaving that image behind for now, I've actually gone some work done on the old movie quote fic. I wrote some bits way back at the beginning of December and I thought I was doing all right with time, and then here it is already January, I figured I'd better get moving. I'd like to say it's really coming along but I think that might take a bit of time. Needs bit more direction.

I've done some thinking on that movie, Haven, I watched last night now that I have a clear head, and decided that it wasn't too bad. For some reason, I sort of assume movies with lots of characters and storylines that cut across each other aren't very good, not that they can't be, I just haven't seen many that are. They made it work all right though, but they advertise it as 'can love survive the fall of paradise' when the love story seemed like it kind of took a back seat to the rest of the plot. Most of the characters weren't very likable though and I don't quite get how Zoe Saldana's character went from innocent-like and in love with her boyfriend to snorting coke and banging random guys in the bathroom or why she didn't have accent like the rest of her family. I get that she had some issues with her fam after her dad accusing her boyfriend of raping her and her brother throwing acid in her bf's face but it still didn't quite add up. Everything else seem to make sense even Shy shooting her brother, which Orlando Bloom even made seem romantic-ish, maybe the harden character just doesn't work for him.
Anyhow, it put me in quite movie watching mood. I'm ready to dissect some more movies now. It feels to nice to sit around watching movie, haven't done that in a while.
I just love fudge, made some on new year's eve. Very good but it seemed almost obscene while I was making it. It's just lots of melted chocolate that firmed up enough to eat in blocks. But you can't beat that ^^
