Yesterday was my last classes of the semester-Rejoice! But I actually overslept and missed my history class, which kinda sucks cause I've been to every class this semester, I've only overslept for math two or three times early in the semester. Plus now I have to actually read my history book. My class is good, if you go to class and take notes, then that's pretty much what's on the test. We were covering the civil war so now I have to read about it, bleh...oh well, at least it's almost over. I went to school today to go to the study class but once I got there I just skipped it and went to the math lab which must be my favorite place in the world since I spend so much time there, you'd think I'd be great at math. All in all it was kind of pointless but Friday's are the best days, hardly anyone there and the guy that's usually there on Mon.&Wed. isn't there. He flirts a lot and the past few times I've been there, I ended up sitting way too close to him as he hits on this one woman in particular who has an accent and wears tight super low cut shirts, she's always touching him and saying she'll have to bring him a present, it's a tiny bit nauseating.
Anyhow, I found the best way to lift the old mood calls for spicy crab rolls, chocolate cake donuts, and Lost on dvd. That cheered me right up.
Watching tv shows on dvd is awesome, now that I've discovered the joys of it I must catch up on the shows I wanted watch but never did fully. It felt kind of off to write a paper involving Lost when I'd barely seen the first season. I'm in the middle of it now, I can see why it people were raving about it. I started during the mid-way point of season 2 and I didn't care for some of the characters like Jack, he was pretty annoying but now that I know that I understand his character more and see how he started it, he's growing on me. I didn't know Locke was this interesting, and Charlie and Claire cute together, they seemed kind of blah-ish before. Sawyer grew on me during the beginning of season 3, he's surprisingly likeable plus he's awful fine to look at. The only thing that would be better is if I had never seen it before, then I'd get that joy of not knowing what's going to happen.
My mom's become obsessed with the power of the big trucks. The insurance company set up a rental thing until my mom's car comes out of the shop and she got to choose what she wanted so she chose one of those big four door Ford F-150's, which I knew she would do as soon as I saw it. She used to toy with the idea of getting a truck but scaled down to something more practical. After the accident though, the idea of a big vehicle is rather comforting. I know those things are bad for the enviorment and have poor gas mileage but you know everyone sees you. The other day, we were in the parking lot and this car pulled in the wrong way and was speeding around (a pet peeve of mine, who speeds in a parking lot?), normally when we're in the car and that happens, the two cars will just go around each other, but in the truck that car actually had to back up and pull into a space in the back while we waited. It was a funny image, everyone will get out of the way for a truck so you kind own the road, which is really wrong, I know, but it's nice to have that bit of power to prevent some accidents at least. Some drivers are just so dumb.
~~~All is good in the fanfic world. I'm hard at work on my quote fic, sort of, still need solid plot details, but I'm embarrassingly excited to write my first ever one shot. So far so good for Nature's Family, no sign of a certain reviewer turned heckler from the last time around, thank goodness and some of my old readers read the new version. Feels good to know that they're giving the new revamped version a try. :D
