It feels like I've been away for a while even though it's only been like a week. You'd think I've been busy all this time but no. I was working on my documented essay for a bit, we got in groups and did peer review yesterday, I only barely had three pages but I didn't read it anyway. I felt kind of bad afterwards, I was chair of our group and was supposed to help everyone with their papers but I only looked at one girl's paper and spent the rest of time listening to this one dude talk about how he doesn't get drunk and make fun of the other girl in our group (all in good fun, they're all friends). I probably come off anti-social like b/c I just sat there staring or sometimes laughing along, but I've always been the quiet one in public. I'm not the most social person and I'm not even sure how to be, once I get to know people, then I start loosening up more. I'd like to work on that, I guess college is the place. The school I go to isn't all that interesting though, can't wait to transfer to UH, plus they have an awesome gym. I really need to start working out again and I'm getting tired of using the bike we have, we've also got an eliptical which is good but the wheels are messed up.
Anywayz...it's nearly Thanksgiving, oh boy! I could use the break even though the semester's nearly over. I vow to be a total glutton. We're only having turkey and ham this year, last year we had crab legs with a butter sauce too which was so good but no luck finding any decent ones this year that weren't already frozen. I told my mom that she ought to go to that Hong Kong market for fresh ones, you can get just about anything there including frogs but it is way on the westside of town and we're not so close to there anymore. I just love cooking all this food and then eating it. This year I'm going to finally master the sweet potato pie but I make a mean candied yams dish. It's just us again, my dad can't make it in. Two years ago, we had the whole family down here which was kind of hectic but not too bad. I don't know how my grandmother manages to make food for an army by herself. When she was here, I helped a little but she kind of likes to do her own thing. Every Christmas in Colorado, she starts cooking at night and then we're eating at four the next day. Of course in our house, eating a eight would be early for us.
Well, happy Thanksgiving to all that celebrate and happy Thursday to those that aren't. ^^
