I took my first math test last week and I thought I would do okay. I wasn't expecting a perfect score but I thought 'oh, I should get at least in the mid-80s, a solid b.' But no, I end up with a low C grade, which I don't understand. No, math has never been my strong suit but so far the stuff we've been doing is relatively easy, I've done it many times in the past during my many attempts at algebra. I thought I had a good hold over it. I think my problem is just careless mistakes. I've had that problem since I was doing the very basic stuff. I've been getting my homework right and doing it after class in the math lab (I didn't know I was going to be such a nerd and do all my homework right away). But there's always two or three problems that I get wrong cause I wasn't paying enough attention. I think I'm going to have to stay in 0304 all semester. I was planning on testing out but now is my chance to finally improve my math skills. Well, on my next test I vow to get a better grade. It really sucks to do badly when you think you're finally doing well.

We seem to be experiencing an actual fall which is nearly unheard of down here. This time last year, we were going through that sucky evacuation and it was so hot. I was worried about someone getting heat exhaustion which I've had before and it's awful or heatstroke. And this year, it's nearly jacket weather. This morning was like around 70-ish and I was tempted to get a sweater. That should be nothing to me since I grew up in Colorado but I think being here has thinned my blood.

Okay, I'll stop droning on about the weather and get some work done. I think I have more free time now than before, which is really odd as I had nothing but time. Waking up early makes a huge difference.
