My car barfed at me X(!
What happened to me yesterday? On my way home from Subway for lunch, my windshield fogged up from the inside. When I turned on the defrost, clear green liquid spat from under the dashboard XP! I knew the car was leaking a bit, but nothing funny happened until then! Turns out the heating coil system which stores the antifreeze was broken and leaking antifreeze vapor onto my windshield as well as 'barfing' all over the front car floor. Sigh, I guess the 2nd oldest family car is feeling its age as well --;! It is definitely NOT a good year for ANYONE'S car!
The old Park Avenue Buick was sent in again, so I was left pretty much carless the rest of the day. I'm now driving the company's minivan until I pick up my car with a lovely $600.00 repair bill attached to it!
I picked up my sister's/The Kid's VCR from the repair shop yesterday after getting some transportation. Turns out it there was NOTHING wrong with her VCR X(! I could have easily recorded the last Press Your Luck Vertivision block last week IF I had just unplugged her VCR for a few hours to reset it! D'OH! D'OH! D'OH! Apparently, the power outage The Kid had screwed up the VCR's remote control sensor unit, so I thought it was broken. If all else fails, unplug it and see what happens. Now why didn't I think of that, especially since I do that to a lot of my older VCRs when they get wonky ;b! Dumb STUPID brain cost me $30.00 down payment on repair and $42.00 for a new remote since we thought her remote was broken at first ;P!
To add even more hassle to my day, the VMS VAX seems to be on its last limbs too ;_;! I don't know if this is in lieu of the shutdown or something else, but I haven't been able to access my e-mail account since Wednesday! I can't even telnet into it now, so any e-mail sent to me (or reply comments via LJ) are stuck until the system is back up again. If I don't reply to anything, this is why!
Kyt/kythera, I sent out a 'few' postcards Wednesday, so look for them in the mail! I will send another wave out after I find some more, hee hee ^-^! I also updated the old LJ match compatibility chart finally for anyone interested!
Now, I need to get back to finishing some weekly stuff while my shoulders ache in pain for NOT relaxing (so they got the 'special' treatment today at physical therapy)!
