Ooo! A folk singing legend 8D!

Ooo! Folk singing legend Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul, and Mary will be singing and signing his new children's book Puff the Magic Dragon Friday, Jul 11th, at 7:00 p.m. at my local Barnes and Noble! I'll have to bring my copy of the Puff the Magic Dragon DVD compilation of the 3 specials to get signed X)! Yarrow voiced the dad of Jackie Paper in the first special and the main song for all. The Puff specials are among my favorite animated pieces!

Here are 5 questions from Megan/putret/halfpastfish from that old interview meme!

1. What was the very first thing you started collecting?
   
   I think the first thing I started collecting was either coins or stamps. I still collect them somewhat, but they're not very organized except for the statehood quarters X(! My stamps are a mess! They used to be in a nice neat folder, but I think I discovered the holders I used for them are NOT archival safe. They're slowly DYING in them as we speak. My coins have always been just in a box.



2. Who was the first ~celebrity~ you got in contact with? (you mention writing to them and stuff in your journals..)
   
   I think the first 'celebrity' autograph I got was from Dennis Feltgen, a local celebrity meteorologist for KSTP-TV in the early 80s. He was visiting my middle school for career day when I was in 6th grade (circa 1981) and gave us all little books on meteorological terminology. After he was done speaking on how he got into the field, he had a little impromptu autograph session, and I got the book signed. I haven't uploaded that autograph yet because it's buried in my book shelf somewhere. As for an 'actual' real celebrity, the first one I got was from Joe Penny of then NBC TV series Riptide. He was doing a shoot for the show somewhere in CA, and my family and I happened to be there at the time. He signed autographs for anyone that asked during breaks between shoots, so I have his name scribbled on a piece of small notebook paper from my Mom's notebook pad. That's also another autograph I have yet to upload --;.



3. How many pairs of socks do you own, and is it adequate?
   
   I have no idea how many pairs of socks I own o~O! I think I have probably a dozen or more in circulation, all of which are your basic short white socks. It's usually an adequate amount, but I do still run out of socks every now and then --;.



4. What time do you usually wake up?
   
   I would LIKE to wake up every day around 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m., but I have to wake up around 9:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. --;.



5. How do you think your parents will react to the apocalypse?
   
   I think my Dad will go around yelling at everyone or obsessing about something insignificant to while away the time before total annihilation, and my Mom will be doing sudoku ^^;.
