Tallyhawk! Wings of silver, nerves of steel....!

Jun 20, 2008 16:47

Woohoo! Silverhawks is coming out on DVD Oct 14th! Bernie composed some AWESOME music for that show too, and, hopefully, with this new release from Warner, it might help the the Thundercats official soundtrack petition AND, maybe, convince Warner to dig up Bernie's cues for Silverhawks as well for another soundtrack 8}! Yeah, yeah, I'm getting ahead of myself, but at least I can watch the DVDs to death listening to Bernie's music!

Also, for you Denver, the Last Dinosaur fans, the second Denver DVD set should be coming out later this summer! To whet your appetite, World Event Productions/WEP has the Denver, the Last Dinosaur theme song as a bonus on their new Voltron CD soundtrack! If you're a Voltron or Denver fan, the CD is a must X)! Also, the Vehicle Voltron DVD will be coming out this fall in case you like your Voltron in several tiny pieces instead of 5 big ones!

In other news, I've now stumped the Paley Center for Media/Museum of Television and Radio with my stupid question on both the East and West Coast, woot Xb! I really need to go visit one of those places and actually watch said programs to find my own answer since the people there really don't have time to watch 4-5 years of 4 hour Emmy award broadcast shows --;.

Finally, I have 5 questions from Dusty/driley1 from that old interview meme!

  1. I see you've gotten quite a few autographs. Do any autograph experiences stand out as memorable?

My most memorable autograph experience was actually my first at the now closed Stay Tooned Animation gallery ^^;! I met voice actor legend Don Messick there, and I was enthralled! I was so enthralled as to ask a very STUPID question when I got the chance (i.e. Why aren't there any Emmy awards dedicated to voice acting?). Yes, I wasted an opportunity of a lifetime. When I met him in the flesh, I was literally speechless and in total awe! He was the second voice actor I learned to recognize by ear, and I showed him my catalog of voice actors I had compiled at the time (around 300+ pages). I left on cloud 9 sans an autograph because I couldn't afford to actually buy anything in the gallery to get signed, but the gallery was kind enough to mail me an autographed picture in the mail a few days later 8D! I was so happy and couldn't stop smiling for days after! I tried repaying the gallery's kindness by actually buying something for the next signing for Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Mouse, Wayne Allwine/Mickey and Russi Taylor/Minnie. I loved talking to Russi and showing her my catalog X)! I also have a couple NON-memorable autograph experiences, but I won't go into those unless you want me to ;b!

  2. What do you think of the Voltron soundtrack?

It's so AWESOME 8D! YOU MUST BUY IT (see why above in this entry)! It has 50+ complete music cues for all those Voltron moments AND the Denver, the Last Dinosaur theme song as a bonus!

  3. On the subject of Voltron, who was your favorite character and why?

I'm not sure I have a favorite character from the show itself. I think I liked everyone pretty much equally. I did like the robotic lions though and their elemental powers 8D! It was probably the first time I was introduced to the concept of separate elements and then having them combine. My sister did have a crush on Keith though ;)!

  4. Would you take advantage of a free roadtrip around the United States? If so, where would you go?

Actually, I'm not sure =/. When I was a baby and even as a little kid, my parents literally dragged me out on road trips all across the U.S. from MN to CA and even AZ. I almost drowned as a kid in the Atlantic Ocean during one road trip through a World's Fair if I remember correctly. My parents were poor graduate students at the time, so driving across the U.S. was their only means of vacationing and entertainment. I've been to Yellowstone Park, Mount Rushmore, The Corn Palace, and Wall Drug 3 times in my life and all of it via car o~O, traveling for hours and hours on end through road stops, seedy little hotels, and miles and miles of empty road! If you offered me a free plane trip though, I probably would be more up for that than a road trip.

  5. What is your one "guilty pleasure" food?

I think the question should be, "What isn't on my guilty pleasure foods list?" because you name it, and it's there ;)! I love them all from hot dogs to bacon, fried anything (especially ice cream!), covered with cheese, do(ugh)nuts, on-a-stick, various organs (because I'm Chinese), etc.! I grew up with the MN State Fair at my doorstep, so all those guilty foods were introduced into my palette at a very young age =9! This is why I'm fatter than my sister who was born when we moved a little further away from the State Fairgrounds (i.e. 2-5 miles further away). She loves fair food too, but not as much as me!

You know the rules! If you want questions or have them, just post them here (with no obligations to asking for more in your own LJ!)!
