Last week sometime, I remember I saw some new limited edition Strawberry Milkshake Oreo™ cookies along the cash register aisles in Super Target. Since I wasn't buying anything that day, I decided to pass (and of course, I was worried about having
sad cookies). A few days later, I told my sister about them and asked if she would be interested or not. She said she could probably take a few cookies for herself and her hubby. I went back to the Super Target I saw them this week, and they were all GONE o~O?! WHERE DID THEY GO 8(?! I can't believe an entire shelf of cookies would vanish within a week! Curse you, Oreo™ cookies, for teasing me with your delicious-limited-edition-ness! I'll have to check to see if someone else has them.
Yesterday, I read a wonderful edu-manga of a literary classic,
Daddy Long Legs. Yeah, I admit I'm not much of a book reader unless it has pictures in it ;P, so I've never read the book before now. It's a much longer read than most manga because the story is told in the form of letters written by a girl to her benefactor who sends her to college, but I still managed to read it one sitting by staying up a little later than usual to finish it ^^;. Now I'm really curious about its actual non-manga-tized sequel,
Dear Enemy. I'm secretly hoping YKids will manga-tize Dear Enemy too, but I'm not holding my breath for it. In the meantime, I'm now reading YKids' manga-tized biography of
Marie Curie and then
Albert Einstein. I'm curious to see how YKids' version compares with
Digital Manga Publishing's Astro Boy edu-manga version of Albert Einstein which has a little too much physics for my liking o~O (and is not in color)! I actually enjoyed Digital Manga Publishing's other edu-manga titles,
Project X: Cup Noodle about how the first instant cup ramen noodles were invented and
Projext X: 7-11 about how Japan adopted the American 7-11 franchise to work for the better. Yes, I do have some weird reads in my manga pile ^^;.
