Petition draft 2.
Hello, fellow Thundercats fans! I'm here to petition for your help and voice in convincing Warner Bros., the owners of the Thundercats license, into releasing an official soundtrack CD for the TV series! The background music was one of the main reasons I instantly fell in love with the series when it first premiered. The music, composed by Bernard Hoffer, was so dynamic and expressive, and at the time, quite revolutionary for employing a full orchestra.
One day in 1998 or 1999, on a whim, I tried to see if I could locate Bernie via the net. I found and got a reply from Bernie himself saying he would be more than happy to make a copy of what he had. Each complete music theme brought tears to my eyes. Yeah, I know it sounds sappy, but I had been waiting for 2 decades to hear them in their complete form.
Since this exchange, I've wanted to share this with every Thundercat fan in the world, legally, licensed, and as profitable for Bernie. I've been trying by myself for the past 7-8 years through various channels into getting Warner Bros. into releasing such a soundtrack. Things looked hopeful when DC Wildstorm made several Thundercats comic book miniseries and later when Warner Bros. released the series on DVD. However, despite the great sales, Warner still decided or had not thought about releasing an official soundtrack for the show. With talks of an upcoming CGI movie based on Thundercats, I hope I can get other fans to come out and support such a soundtrack release. I cut out a lot of my sappy bit in the middle, but is it still too long =/? Suggestions? Advice? Anything 8(?
