Yesterday, I went to Target to see if I could find some decent stationery and cardboard envelopes for some fan letter writing X), and I checked out the toy section. Lo and behold I found some new Transformers from Hasbro that I just HAD to buy O-O! I haven't bought a 'new' Transformer since I bought that one small tin box figure and Reflector from the
International G.I. Joe Convention in 2005. They're called
Transformers: Real Gear Robots! They're basically Transformers made to look like real 1/1 ratio devices that we have today such as the cellphone, an MP3 player, a videogame control, a digital camera, camcorder, and binoculars! Thanks to the advancement of real technology, devices today look like toys and visa versa! I think these new twists on an old idea were made just for me! I've been dreaming of such Transformers ever since I saw Generation 1 with Soundwave, Blaster, Reflector, etc.!
Although these are a far cry from the upcoming
REAL WORKING AND TRANSFORMING MP3 PLAYER Soundwave coming out next month from Takara, they're still very well designed and extremely cute. Each package does note that what you're buying is a TOY and NOT A REAL CAMERA/CELLPHONE/BINOCULARS/ETC., each toy does have some nice detailing which
this collector describes a lot better than I can. Hasbro could have at least put cheapo plastic magnifying lenses for 3x Longview though ;b! All I can see through his lenses are a blur O~O!
Yes, I went nuts and bought the entire line ;P! I would like to buy that real Soundwave MP3 player, but my computer is too antiquated to do anything with MP3s. Basically, if I got it, it would probably just be another Transformers toy to me X(!
