AUGH 8(!
I don't ask much of my sister, or at least I hope I don't O~O. I probably go over to her place once ever few months for some computer access or CD burning. While she's out this week in Vegas, I'm taking care of her mail and newspaper. I only ask she do 1 thing for me: Record Press Your Luck on GSN every day. I provide her the videotapes and pay for her digital cable bill and unwillingly pay her high speed broadband internet access to boot for this privilege. I've even helped her set the VCR for the recordings Monday through Friday as well as the weekend. All she has to do is adjust the tape position every day, re-calibrate the VCR's clock for the recording, and make sure her digital cable box is set for the right channel during the recording. That's it. I thought it wouldn't be too difficult to handle.
In the beginning of our arrangement 4 years ago, I went over to her condo every day to do the adjusting and re-calibrating until she finally learned to do it herself. I wouldn't be too picky about the start and end of the show as I would be with if I were doing it at my place which I can't because Comcast has a problem with our house's wiring to provide us with digital cable. I was just happy to have the show recorded for my library.
So far, everything has worked out great until today that is when I learned, to my horror, that my sister has NOT been doing the daily routine whatsoever for the past month o~O! Because my sister is out of town this week, besides helping my sister with her mail and paper, I need to do my daily setup myself for my recording. To my horror, I discovered that GSN has pulled the old schedule-lineup change and is now airing Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in Press Your Luck's old time slot. Press Your Luck has been moved to a new earlier time. Now, if my sister had been doing the daily check, positioning, and time calibrating routine, she would have noticed the change the day the new schedule began. At least for the past month or so, she has not, and I now have month's worth of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? mixed in with Press Your Luck, whose weekend schedule has stayed the same 8(! I also have one errant recording of Martha Stewart's talk show earlier this week, from ANOTHER CHANNEL, as well as GSN's encore presentation of some Cat Minster show which goes even further back than a month! As a result, I have to scrap 2.5 tapes or roughly 36 hours and start anew again with tomorrow's show.
Needless to say, I was shocked and very disappointed my sister wouldn't even do this one task for me ;_;! Yes, I know she has been busy with her rounds in her last year of medical school, but she said I could trust her with this. She had already goofed once after I had relinquished control to her, and I thought she wouldn't do it again. She promised that she would help and that she didn't need a daily phone call reminder from me to do so. I'm angry and upset she has let me down again. How can I trust her again now? Moreover, I still don't know what to do after she leaves for NYC next year for residency. Sigh, I hate this stupid situation --;! Curse you, Comcast too!

Sigh, there goes my high from watching last night's House, M.D. too and thinking of this little gag for mspaint-lolz IF I could actually illustrate something that is.
