What I was referring to is mostly Nathan's comment that so many so swifty consented to.

The "holding no water" stuff was fine, Blair's reply was fine, Adam's brown-eyed girl make out rant was somewhat inappropriate - though he was correct about musical taste being subjective, and Nick throwing out his opinion without being offensive was fine as well, but this is mostly what got out of hand:

"Can you believe that Brittany and Blair think that Van Morrison is better than the Beatles?
Well, yeah, I know Brittany just thinks that because Blair does...well yeah, I know mom, but, I mean you can't really blame her, he IS afterall, pretty cute, and mostly crushable. It's really not her fault...
'Hah, no mom, I don't think that Blair and Brittany will love to shock and start controversy their whole lives."

And how so many people jumped on the bandwagon and went right along with it. If everyone agrees to what he said, this is a matter to be discussed with those being talked about, not nonchalantly tossed about online.

When it got to the point of personal attacks it got serious. And let's not pretend that live journal has never been a cess pool for personal attacks on one another before. This is not the first time something like this has come up. I rarely read it, but the times I do, I often see people being rude to one another - in jest or not, whether "they can take a joke" or not, that is not how we need to be to one another. Have I been guilty of going about this stuff inappropriately myself? Yes.

I am not angry about this, just rather disappointed. I would like to see everyone in person rather than electronically.

Yours forever,
Brynne

i cant remember what color brit's eyes are (blue right?) but if you thought my "making out with a brown eyed girl" rant was inferring brittany, i apologize to you and her. it was only a cynical view of people who God did not bless with the more attractive, blue eyes.
secondly, i don't think anyone was concuring with nathans idea of brittany, but in fact they were simply cheering on his jovial nature. hoorah, you see.
i do though agree that some of his tone was unfair, but on the whole his comment was merely an attempt at being funny.
and no matter what is thought about my meaningless rant doesnt really matter as long as the ol' codger, blair, got a kick out of it. you see blair and i like to give each other hell and stuff sometimes. but it looks as though now its time for some heaven. lets pray.

also, i love the shit out of brittany. everybody does. in fact when jonathan told me that she liked him, i said "well great, brittany's awesome."
i love you to brynne. more than words. more than laughter. more than raindrops on a cold summer, day.
all my niceties are rot.

also in Jesus, and forever,
Adam.

Your response was appreciated and neither Brittany nor I assumed brown-eyed girl was a reference to her, and it was noticed that you were not being serious. We also had noted that your response to Nathan's quote was random and seemingly unrelated.

The one thing I will say is that I do not condone condescention as a viable source of comedy. If a friend is degraded or their feelings are hurt, there is nothing funny about it.

Thank you for responding; we both want you to know we love you as well. "Tell him I said thanks for the kind words." -Brittany

Miles apart but always together,
