Jeffrey Rowland, creator of Wigu and Overcompensating (and one of my favorite cartoonists), had his LJ account hacked and all his entries deleted last night. I, for one, am taking this as a cue to back up my account.

There are several ways, depending on what system you're on and what you want to back up. Google "livejournal backup".
