Oh livejournal, how I neglect you.
It's a beautiful day in Philadelphia. It's been cloudy and overcast and COLD! the last few days, which I have been loving (as I hate the usual heat/humidity combo Philly likes to rock in the summertime. So played out.) Today is sunny and high 70s. Which is reasonable and summery.
Tonight I'm going to a costume party. The theme is circus and you have to be dead. Costume parties are fun fun fun. I haven't had the baby Rosie in about a week, and its strange having more time in the mornings/evenings + less money. On the flip side, even though the gallery went down to summer hours (only 3 hours on Thurs and Fri, 7 on Saturday) I've been coming in on days it's closed as well as hours early to get stuff done. So I'm working more now that I should be working less. Speaking of working, Helen's in NY today (hence the updating) and was out of town all day yesterday. We're on the last show of the season. A rather good local artist. It's a really smart looking show, but not at all saleable.
Check out the website I'm always working on.Which is why we have the saleable artists in the stable and take them to art fairs and then put up interesting work that no one will ever buy. I can't wait to run my own gallery. Essentially doing that now, sans financial culpability. Matt wants me to get a better job. I point out that in this town, there really isn't anywhere else to go (vertically, that is. Horizontal possible.)
Desperately looking forward to going to Portland. Although I wish I could stay for longer. Can you change flights these days? Isn't that terribly hard? With monetary penalties and all that. Matt's brother (Tucker) announced he was coming with us at the last minute. Nervous about having someone else to entertain, although this can also mean I can send them off together and just spend time with the family.
OH! Cute new haircut. Think Dela Street-but-contemporary. Got them to bleach a little widow-peak-ish patch in the front. Way to go Jean Madeline beauty school. We both win this round.
