Well we took Evan to Vegas last weekend, for Craig's big 40th birthday. Well we also took Alessandra, but it was a bigger deal for Evan since it was his first big trip and first plane ride! He was a total star, though. He slept most of the way on the way down there, in this crazy position:
Although he spent most of the trip like this...
And I think he would say this was his favorite part... ;)
It was a good time. We walked around tons, although we were limited by the freaking 97 degree heat, ugh. Craig and Alessandra went on the NY NY rollercoaster, so they enjoyed that. (I'm so not a roller coaster person, so I didn't mind sitting it out with Evan!) We saw the dinner show at Excalibur with the horses and jousting and fun stuff like that. I couldn't believe that Evan sat happily on my lap the whole time, the loud bangs didn't even phase him! Awesome. We did one buffet, of course, and hit the creperie in Paris... did a little gambling on the roulette table (and won $80!), and hit the pool at the hotel Sunday afternoon... those were the highlights anyway. It was perfect to come with Evan AND Alessandra because she helped me carry him around in the sling (she just loooooved it when people asked her how old her baby was, hehe) and we were able to go out for a couple drinks Friday and Saturday nights while she stayed in with him. He was a little fussy Saturday night, though, so we gave her a thank you gift of a really nice souvenir shirt the next day. :P All in all a good trip! I think we'll go when it's a little cooler next time, though. ;)
