I finished reading "The Tears of Autumn" by Charles McCarry this morning. It's certainly in a class above "The Sensitives." In fact, it was while I was reading it I realized the schlockiness of the latter.
On a more important note, I quickly traded it out at the food bank for Maureen Ogle's "Ambitious Brew: The Story of American Beer" which is excellent from the first.
There are many fine organizations working to address food insecurity, but who is working to address the alcohol insecurity faced by so many unfortunate citizens?
I envision a ministry to address this lack. Let's take care of tobacco insecurity at the same time. We can hand out kits with a half-pint, a tin of tobacco, matches and rolling papers.
That would be doing God's work. Now for some sponsors....
