today -
I went to my doctor. I weigh 161 pounds at 6'1" - ok, seems good on the surface, right? Well....I'm actually 26% body fat. Over 25% in men is obese. Men should really be under 20%...ideally under 15% for young men. I don't really know what to do? I guess I'm going to start doing some crunches, sit ups, and pushups daily. I don't know if 15/15/5 is enough. My doctor said 5 pushups is not enough but I can't really do more than 5 at a time at any consistent rate. I wonder if all the exercise is just burning muscle? I think probably not, it's taking an effect, but it's like rebuilding the 9th ward. I'm sure my body fat was probably over 50% at one time. But maybe not since I don't really notice much of a difference in like my thighs or my gut from when I as obese at 240 lbs. I don't know.
Maybe I need to rethink my approach, and start weight training now that I lost weight. Any suggestions?
I also had some Motrin prescribed for headaches and aches and pains from players hacking me on the court.
I played basketball against some really good players...I went 3/15, 0/2 from 3pt. I felt like Tyler Hansbrough is going to feel when he gets drafted. (Oh, that's a burn).
