You like stuff? Support it!
So today, podcaster/author Matthew Wayne Selznick raised enough money on Kickstarter to help fund his newest project and I love that. I love that we're living in age where we can support artists, invetors, filmmakers and authors to do really rad things that we enjoy. All for (at least) the cost of a cup of Starbucks coffee or an iTunes song.
It makes me think a lot about how impressive technology is and how it's really changed how we consume media.
It also makes me think about people who consume and don't particpate. I understand not having money, but there's still ways to support things you like - tweet about it, post about it, like stuff on Facebook, write your favorite blog/podcast/etc and tell them to talk about it. Be an advocate for amazing things or you may find out that they don't exist any more.
So, if you like something make sure you support it. Especially if that something is indie and cool.
