My rents... can be surprisingly geeky
Back in December, we visited friends of ours who have 5 awesome kids. We've known the kids since birth, and have been pretty big in their lives most of their lives. So it was fun to see them all again. The youngest, Benjamin (whose 6), is very much a drama king. I think it's because of his personality and the fact that he's last in a family of 1 girl and 4 boys. So we were making Christmas cookies and one he was icing fell on the ground.
He was distraught. Even though we picked it up and showed him it looked fine (hard icing I guess). So he flops over the couch and wails (while almost no one was paying attention) "I'm such a doofus!"
My parents (afterward, we didn't do this TO Benjamin) thought it was hilarious. And "I'm such a doofus" has become a catch phrase in the house.
So today I was telling my parents how athenamuze and I were talking about the end of Angel on Joss'd -- and athenamuze mentioned that "that one guy from Bones" was on Angel. [to mention that I had said that I was a doofus in the conversation]
My dad pipes up - yeahhhh the FBI agent!
I had to do a spit take, my dad's never watched Angel and the rents are pretty much anti-magic and such (because of their convictions).
So it was my funny moment of the day.
Yes, Dad, David B was in Angel. We were talking about TJ... :D
