Season Finale Reactions
I saw it last night, but I couldn't even start to type....
Amazing.
Utterly amazing.
I loved the story, loved the characters, loved the flashbacks, loved the tying up of lose ends. Loved the idea of Donna being the "temp", but also being someone the Doctor helped - didn't just turn into a weapon. The Doctor should know that those people weren't weapons, they were people who sacrificed themselves to save others. Because of each of those character's deaths - lives were saved. And Donna proved the Doctor was more than just an inspiration to murder. He should have realized that in the Christmas episode when Donna STOPPED him.
Plus, I loved the resolution with Donna because it harkens back to what River's journal said - you think when you're with the Doctor it'll last forever - but it doesn't.
Anyways.
I do like Human/TimeLord Ten. I love that Rose gets a satsifactory but still angsty end. I love that we get to imagine her living happily ever after, but still being hurt because she can't be with "THE Doctor". I think it's good for us.... there's resolution without being schmultzy and the Doctor falling in love and losing Rose again... yada yada yada.
Jack. I love Jack.
I also loved the Doctor/Jackie interaction (though brief) - don't touch anything.
Sigh. Poor Emo Ten (again)
Oh and Donna's granddad rocks the casbah. I so adore him.
