Happy CNY.

I think I'm past the age of getting hyped up at festive seasons. Oh well.

I actually re-picked up my will-never-be-done novel today. I guess it's the after effects of reading too much 言情小説 lately. I am finally, finally starting to finish (?) 綠痕's 九龍策 series and damn, do I like it when there is plotting. Haha. I didn't dare to pick up this series again because it's, er, actually hard to understand = use brain, which is I think not a characteristic of and not necessary for romance novels. Not that 眾神夢記 series was much better (please lor, look at 浩瀚 =.=) especially when looking at its very very obvious theme throughout. "The gods have left us, we should live for ourselves, fight for ourselves, we should help ourselves." Hey, how often do you find a romance series with a theme?? Maa anyway. It inspired me about, well you guessed it. Plotting in the palace! Sweet xD I must say I admire 綠痕's works a lot. There is always a main plot in the series, and the romance parts are always just what is happening alongside the main plot, and you never know which characters will become main in which book and who will die (and a lot of them do, I was rather speechless in 神之國度). I probably didn't really consciously notice that in her books until halfway through 眾神夢記, so when I set down the general timeline of my... novel (er, series) I probably unconsciously wanted to follow that system.

That said. The short convo between 風淮 and 鐵勒 at the end of 《朔日》 really managed to make me very depressed. Sigh. But I feel impressed at myself because I managed to forget the ending (as in who became 太子). Haha. I think it's because the first book in the series I read was the last and that was like more than 5 years ago bah. Maybe I should re-read it just for the ending. Although I don't like that pair.

I need to go back to reading something more brainless. Or er, to reading READINGS.

novel, greetings
