Well, Izzy and I went to see Disney's Brave, and I was impressed enough with it that I decided to post here about it.
So the movie has a good storyline, good action, and of course an excellent sound track (Disney learned in the 1980s that any film without a good soundtrack was bound to fail - case in point 'The Black Cauldron' which was a fantastic story, but the movie flopped as there were no memorable songs in it).
The single-most incredible point of the movie that amazes me however... after all these years, and all of the animated movies Disney has put out... I suppose they learned something from Dreamworks' Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron...
Disney *FINALLY* got horses right. And not just right... the motion, the ears... everything. And in many ways, they out-did Dreamworks (Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron horses had eyebrows). I can honestly say that I was and am impressed.
One item that is not made particularly clear, however... The movie is set in Scotland, though nowhere near the ocean. I found it difficult to pin that down, as it was never distinctly pointed out.
But overall, I highly recommend seeing it. It's certain to become a classic, along with many other of Disney's animated features.
