Since I posted so many little negative things at the beginning of the semester, and some people expressed concern, I think I'll post some nice things that happened this weekend, just to balance it out.

On Friday night I was supposed to meet Aajay and his family at Dave and Busters, but I got a flat tire on the way there. It was on 285 and it was pretty scary, but I turned my back on the oncoming traffic and changed the tire all by myself. It was sort of frustrating, and it was really cold, but I was really proud of myself after I did it. And I still got to Dave and Busters before the food got there. Then Aajay and I won 787 tickets and blew most of them on candy. And a Hungry Hungry Hippos game.

Saturday was my dad's birthday and Russell and I spent the whole day shopping for ingredients and then cooking an amazing tapas feast. We had tortilla chips and plantain chips with salsa, guacamole, and black bean dip, fish, squid with basil that caught fire (on purpose), bread, eggplant fried in breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese, fried spanish cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, beer, sangria, and a delicious pineapple dessert that smelled like toast when it was cooking. Russell made Aajay and Katie brush the dirt off the mushrooms and they bonded over complaining about it.

Sunday...walked around in the cemetery with Aajay and then we had a coming home party for Molly and Courtney with Erich and James and Kelly and Erin and Kevin. We played pictionary and truth or truth.

Monday I had to fix my tire. Aajay's class got canceled, so I put it off, and ended up skipping both classes to hang out with Molly some more, since she's moving to San Francisco on Thursday. We played at open mic night at McCraken's on the Square, another thing I'm really proud of, because I've always been too shy to do it. Aajay and James came to cheer us on.

Tuesday I also missed all of my classes, just because I was goofing off with Aajay and Bob and his friend Gene. Bob set up a trap to try to catch a squirrel using granola and Jesus as bait. I finally got back to Athens and spent the rest of the night reading stuff for my class on French feminism, which is where the fun ended. Except that I studied with Dishroom which made studying suck way less.

I have 50 free downloads for the mp3 played that Ray gave me. Tell me what I should listen to!!!
