Really powerful writing and powerful emotion and I really thought as I read that Han was the one who would die. Nicely done - with hope for the future.

Why is it that if somebody has to die for dramatic reasons, it's always Chewie? ":-(
Other than that, lovely as always.
The characters' interactions are just great: Soon enough she'll be the Republic senator again, and he'll just be the guy with the ship. I think that sums up Han and Leia's relationship perfectly. The dialogue between Luke and Han says a lot between the lines, too.

... yeah, I know. But there are four characters in this story and three of them are the ones I'm trying to put into a relationship, so ... umm. One of these days I will have to write a Chewbacca story to make up for this.

Oh, now you've gone and made me cry. Several times.

I haven't read SW fic for a long time, but this was wonderful and so sad and yet hopeful in that they still have each other.
