New car:
Well as i come closer to becomming 18, there have been a few things ive had to think about.
One that has been rather different from my usual thoughts is getting a car! My parents have agreed to selling me the charade, pretty much the only car ive driven except when driving drunks around to KFC 7-11 or wherever they wish :p. However this means that they will haveto replace that car with a new car (especially when they will probably do the same kind of deal for my brother) so they have been looking.
It came down to two contenders. A diahatsu sirion or a hyundai getz. And after much diliberation, they have decided pretty much, the hyundai makes the cut... not because its better, but because they are unable to test drive the diahatsu. There is only one left on this side of australia, and its sitting in melbourne. Which they WOULD ship up.. if we sign the contract.
Deciding that the Getz drives fine as it is (1.5L engine although its engine may not be as good as the sirion thing, its 0.2L larger) but the Getz has a couple of extra advantages.
-MP3/CD Headunit.
-6 speakers, including front tweeters
plus the standard of
Aircon
Engine immobiliser
tacho
electric windows
central locking
Probably will be getting the 3door version because its rare nowdays that there is more then two in the car, and its also $2000 les.
Which totals probably around $13500 brand new.
