i finally got my fly thing on! oh yeah! thursday i joined a flying club where i can rent planes. i was going to take a flight to shake the rust off, but the plane i was going to take had a light out which made it illegal for night flight. so i had to cancel that idea. but i did end up getting invited on a flight with a private pilot and a student pilot out to atlantic city for dinner. that was pretty cool, especially since every move they made they looked at me for approval since i'm way above them license and skill wise. it was cute :p then friday i went back to the airport and did a checkout in a brand new two seater plane that feels like a little porshe to fly in. it's pretty cool and kane has been bugging me to take him up in it. here's a pic of it:
after my flight i headed back home. after i parked and got out of my expy, i heard a loud hissing sound and knew i got a flat tire. i found a HUGE nail in my passenger rear tire and it was deflating SUPER fast! i hurried up and drove it out of the parking garage and parked it in front of the lobby. i put a jack under it to keep it from sitting on the rim. i then complained to the front desk and filed a complaint. i know i got it in the parking garage from how fast it deflated. besides, they've been doing contruction in the lobby a lot lately.
friday night was a lazy night after i let the tire issue go for the night. seems like nobody had any ideas of what to do anyway. i talked to kevin early in the day on aim and he told me to call him if i knew of anything to do. i called craig to see what he was doing, and he also said if i thought of anything to do to give him a call. then jeff called and asked what we were doing, and once again said to call if we thought of anything. i forgot to call dave cuz, once again, i forgot he gets out at 8 on fridays. i think he already had plans anyway.
saturday (kane and my 9 month ann.!!) morning i got up early to walk across to the car dealership to see if they would just walk over and plug my tire for me. they said they "don't plug tires". wtf! so i walk another block to a goodyear tire company and they tell me they won't work off site, i'd have to have it towed the one block for them to plug it! i then called AAA and they said nobody will plug it for me in the lobby, they'd have to tow my car. GRRRRRRRR! damn 23 inch rims and no spare tires!! so it's been sitting on a jack in front of the lobby and will stay there till tomorrow (monday) to have it towed somewhere.
after that mess i just got ready to take kane for a flight. kane drove us to the airport in jersey and we were airborn by 7pm heading to atlantic city. i flew around the casinos at around 800 feet and then circled to land at the airport right behind the casinos. after tieing down the plane the line service drove us to the office to wait for our cab. we went to the borgata and ate at the gourmet buffet. it was really good food. i think we spent at least an hour and a half there so we could digest our dinner and then go back for dessert hehe. we then walked around and kane lost a wopping $20 gambling in 15 minutes. we then went back to the airport and took off. kane told me he wanted a more "exciting" ride back home, so that's what he got! hehe. no details :p but i think he liked it a lot so i was happy. it only took 9 months to finally prove to kane i AM a pilot lol. we got back home around 1:30am and then got looking at some cars...
my dad has been pressuring me to get rid of the "money pit" aka expedition. i really like it, but he thinks it's draining me dry on gas. i dunno. i'm looking into a mazda6 or *maybe* an RX8. we'll see though. ya never know!
that's enough for now. bye.
