Q1. Shy or sociable?

Yabu: Shy
I am actually shy but I can also be sociable when I need to. When I am with someone who is shyer than me like Chinen, I will turn on my “I have to work hard here” switch and I will take the initiative to have communication. But if the one with me was Dai-chan, I will leave it to him to take the initiative!

Hikaru: Shy
When I meet people for the first time, or people whom I don’t really meet often, my conversations doesn’t progress from “Ah, hello” (laugh). It wasn’t like that when I was young. After I came to Tokyo, my sense of wariness had probably become stronger. Of course when it comes to work, I am able to speak properly to those I meet for the first time. Up till now, I haven’t been troubled over my shyness so I don’t intend to change it (laugh)

Q2. Tsun or dere
(tn. in this case, tsun can mean like sharp/hostile/sarcastic while dere means being kind, spoiling or going all lovestruck over someone)

Yabu: Dere
It actually depends on the person. For members, I am basically tsun towards Inoo, and I am half tsun and dere towards Keito and Yuto. When Keito talks to me, I purposely ignore him, and when he goes “Eh…..”, I say “Just kidding~~!” and our interactions are like “Whats with that, Yabu cha~~n” “Sorry sorry♪”, that’s our way of communication (laugh). But with Chinen, I am totally dere. I don’t want to see his sad face, so towards Chinen, I am always a “Yes man”!

Hikaru: Tsun
I am tsun to the members. Even in the dressing room, I don’t really talk. But it is a different story when I am making jokes. During those times, I am all sweet (laugh). With regards to my family, I was relatively spoilt. When I wanted any musical instruments or a computer, I always told my mother “Dai-chan and Inoo-chan has one too~~” (laugh). Actually probably I am more dere…?

Q3. Positive or negative

Yabu: Positive
About a year ago, me and my friend drove up to Akita and Yamagata, and we went to search for hot springs in the mountains. We placed our mobile phones in a plastic bag and placed it on the rocks, but the wind blew and everything fell into the water….. Our phones were soaked and everything we had researched on about that area was all gone too. But I said “If we go to Sendai, there will be a mobile shop there. But before that, lets enjoy this trip without our phones!” So I am quick in changing my emotions.

Hikaru: Positive
I don’t get upset even if I make mistakes. Even if you regret over things that have already happened, it cant be helped. Instead, I think of things like “Then what should I do to cover this mistake?” When I hear negative comments too, I will think “Why do they speak like that?” So when people ask me for advice, rather than giving deep advice, I will convey my thoughts directly and say “I would think like that if I was in this situation”.

Q4. Precise or rough

Yabu: Precise
Especially when it comes to time. Firstly, I am never late for appointments. Besides, I always do things just on time. I don’t like waiting, so even if I reach the place five minutes earlier, I walk around the area before the appointment time, and I appear at the meeting place just on time.

Hikaru: Precise
My toilet at home is really clean and sparkling. I love household cleaning. I clean my mattresses seriously too. I am weak towards house dust, so I have to make my lifestyle precise in order keep my body condition well. I have many things which decide my lifestyle. Before concerts or recordings, I definitely drink coffee. It has reached a level where if I don’t drink coffee, I wont be able to feel good! (laugh)

Q5. Sentimental or logical?

Yabu: Logical
I am often told that I am argumentative. I don’t lose when it comes to quarrels, and if someone says something like “The stars are beautiful”, I am the type who will reply “that star is Sirius” or “the light you see now comes from a few billion years ago….” (laugh). I am just showing my curiousity and inquisitiveness but I will take care in order not to annoy my friends!
Hikaru: Sentimental
I am the type to proceed with my instincts. We have many situations during a live concert or a live program where we need to use our immediate judgement too. On the other hand, I do a lot of deep thinking when it comes to music. When it comes to composing songs, I gather all the detailed information, and at the end I complete it with my intuition. With regards to acting, i don’t think of anything when I meet everyone for the first time. I match up to the director’s expectations, and then I decide whether I should do it according to intuition or logically.
