saved and lamps

Ok, first, I'll talk about Saved. Anybody who hasn't seen that movie (it's a few years old) should rent it and watch it. When the movie first came out I thought it may be a little blasphemous, but when I saw it on the other night I thought I should give it a try. I actually really liked it. I think it is a great warning for people who are a little overzealous in their...faith. I think a lot of Christians act how some of the people in that movie do....they don't think that, but if they ask someone I'm sure they might find out otherwise. I just think it's actually a really good movie that shows a not so good side of some Christians. Anyway, no matter who you are you should watch it. Truly truly.

So Ivan and I were walking around Target and couldn't find what we were looking for so I decided to get a lamp for my desk. I saw a couple of lamps that would work. They were like all of our other lamps, a silver base with a white shade. Then I saw it!! The lamp looked just like one of the ones from an old detective movie. Not one in black and white, though, because then you can't see the glorious color of the lamp, well, not that glorious. I just had to get it even though it matches nothing (it does actually look good on my dark walnut desk). I was talking to Ivan about how my eyes wouldn't hurt so bad with better light at my desk and he started saying, "It was a dark and stormy night. I was sitting at my desk when a shadow passed the window...." Oh shut it...it was funny at the time. Anyway, here it is...The Lamp!
