Is it just me, or does this Holiday season just seems like it's flying by? I can't believe we have only 2 weeks until Christmas. Where has the time gone?!
This past Saturday, Eric and I went to B&N to relax, read, and have a cup of coffee. While there, I picked up an unusual booked called "Weird Michigan." And in case you’re wondering, the same company published a book called "Weird U.S." So, I was reading the book to see what type of weird things they came up with and I was surprised to find that little ol' Hemlock make the book twice! But what struck me as strange was that Saginaw only made the book once (as far as I could tell). So, what's so strange about Hemlock? The first "weird" thing was the crop circles of 2002 (okay, that's pretty justified) but the second "weird" thing was the Hemlock Whippy Dip, and that it's an unusual building and apparently it's the only one like it in the state - go figure.
Sunday, we made a stupid mistake. We decided to go to Bronners because after putting up our ornaments on the tree, we noticed that we didn't have any "first Christmas 2006" ornaments, so we decided to head out to Frankenmuth. Big mistake. It was sooooooooooooooooooooo freaking busy it was unreal. I though being a Sunday, I thought it would have been less crowded? Wrong. It was packed and parents were letting their kids run every which way, so we not only did we have to fight through the crowds, we had to watch to dodge kids as they crossed our paths. Needless to say, we did get our ornament, but it wasn't worth the crowds.
But, Frankenmuth was very beautiful all lit up at night, so that was worth it.
