Ah yes--- three reasons for me wanting to get him the new motherboard + processor:
1. Allen and I have been on the slowest computers every LAN party for like a year or two now. I was on the slowest one until about last week, and he's been using mine since his blew up. I think he needs a new computer because I'm used to being on a slow end computer and he's really not. Plus, with all the flash and everything you guys do, it'll pay off in the long run to upgrade now before they start packing in Copyright technology into the BIOS.
2. If we get him a new computer, I get my old one back. I can then bring that computer to LAN parties as well, and Jenifer will have a computer to play on (or Jessica if she ever comes and needs a computer). Either way, we'll have an extra computer for someone to play on. Heck, if I get the laptop for Christmas, we'll have TWO extras. I'm working on a new video card currently, so my old computer won't be such a piece of crap soon. =P
3. Getting him the new motherboard + processor is a more permanent solution than a PCI video card (especially since PCI video cards seem to suck... pre-Express that is).
