Alice roomed with her friend Pillar, and Jordon. They lived in the Rodant dorm. It was a co-ed dorm building. One floor was girls, one floor was boys. At first they had a problem w/ Jordon always being in Alice and Pillar's dorm room. But they had an extra room and Jordon was always sleeping there. They even did midnight checks on Jordon's room to make sure he was in there. They decided to let it go because when he lived in a different dorm he would crash there. They even tried to move him a floor above or below them, but he would still crash there, cause that's where he always was in his spare time. So the just let it go with a warning.
Pillar was always bringing guys back to the apartment. She had quite a few boyfriends. Sometimes they knew about each other, sometimes not. Jordon was one of Alice and Pillar's best friends. He was a sophmore, a year younger than Alice and Pillar. He was like their little brother, or son. He wasn't immature, just younger.
Pillar had a main man. His name was Briggs. Briggs was selfish, spoiled, and an asshole. He was one of those guys that doesn't handle rejection well. But if your nice to him he'll be sweet to you, especially if your a good looking girl. He was nicer to Alice than Jordon, but mainly he just ignored them both.
Alice and Pillar were real party people. Jordon kept them grounded. He was logical. He would go with them to the party's and ususally he would be the one to say that it was time to go. Alice had over protective parents growing up. They didn't let her do much and she was grounded alot. She hated it. Then when she got into college she went wild. She did her studies but she loved doing things she knew her parents would never let her do. Pillar just loved the party's themselves. She got Alice in usually and told her when and where they were. Sometimes helping her with what to wear. Sometimes Alice would know it was time to go but sometimes she just didn't care. Jordon was logical but not the uptight way. He'd party too, but he'd make sure they didn't get into much trouble or too messed up.
"What are you reading?" Pillar asked walking up next to Alice.
"The stars in daylight."
"What's it about?"
"Well, it's about this girl who is writing a story about what her friend saw her like when she was in college."
"Interesting."
"Ya."
"Cool."
"Shut up."
"Ok."
"I'll kick you."
"No you wont."
"What you don't like my boots?" Alice said laughing.
"No i don't."
Jordon's nickname is Hopper. Hopper is albino with bright green eyes. He's not tall, but he's not short. He's logical, but crazy in his own way. Not very many people know he's gay. Alot of girls liked him because of his looks and his personality. They also liked how they could talk to him about female issues or guys and he'd actually listen. He didn't run away, he gave his opinion. At the campus there was alot of anti-gay things going on. Some of them were kids that would never get close to the gay people. They weren't the type that Alice, Pillar, or Hopper would hang out with anyway. Jordon got enough critisism for just being different. It was too much of a risk for Hopper to be "outed" right now. Though there was someone he liked. He was in the anti-gay group. Therefre being dangerouse. Jordon knew that the guy was gay. They had gone to highschool together, or they had for a while. After the guy (travis) got outed he moved to a different state. The college they were in now was in the state that Travis had moved to. No one knew he was gay except Hopper. No one knew Hopper was gay but Alice and Pillar.
The room that they lived in was sweet style. They each had their own room, and the rooms were joined by a bathroom between each bedroom. When you walked in the room you walked into the dining room. To your right is the kitchen. Go straight and your in the living room. From the living room there are doors to each bedroom and bedroom on the left. Alice was in the farthest door, Pillar in the closest, and Hopper was in the middle.
"So how was the coffee shop?"
"Still the same."
"I should go aback there sometime."
"What's stopping you?"
Pillar gave Alice a look. Alice was talking to her, but not paying attention. Instead she was staring at the cover of her book. Then Briggs came out of Pillar's room. Alice looked up at him.
"Oh, well, maybe he'll go with you."
Pillar looked at her and walked out of the dorm room, slamming the door behind her. Briggs looked kind of confused and looked at Alice.
"She's going to the coffee shop down the street." Alice said, and looked up at him and smiled. "Maybe you should fallow her."
Briggs just walked out of the room. Then it was quiet for a while.
"You can come out now. They're gone."
Hopper emerged from behind his door. "How did you know i was there?"
"Because, you didn't come charging out when Pillar slammed the door."
"What if i had been in the bathroom."
"Then you wouldn't have heard me and came out."
Hopper walked out of his room and sat next to alice. "So what are you doing?"
"Nothing."
"Nothing. You, are doing nothing."
"Yep."
"Liar. You are always doing something."
"Instant messaging."
"Liar."
"I'm reading."
"Thank you. What are you reading."
"You can calm down, my parents were over protective and i put up w/ them while i was in their house. If you try that shit i'll rebel like crazy."
Hopper laughed. "I know i've seen the tattoo and the lip ring.
Alice smiled.
"Oh my god!!! I'm going to turn to stone!!" Hopper screamed and fell to the floor frozen.
Aliced laughed.
"The worlds ending!"
Then someone opened the door. Alice turned around smiling. Then she saw him. There, in the door way, was Aaron. Alices' smile started to fade. Then Hopper jumped up.
"Finally someone's come to rescue me!" Hopper said looking at the ceiling with his arms raised high as if he was praising the lord. This making Alice laugh again.
Aaron looked as if he'd seen a ghost. Alice saw this. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing, i'm sorry i interupted you and your boyfriend."
Alice and Hopper looked at each other with widend eyes. Then Hopper, embarrased, sat in the computer chair and turned to looka at Aaron. Alice, immidiatly sat in hoppers lap and smiled. "We're not dating."
Aaron was shocked, again. Alice had given Hopper an out. She had protected him. Hopper willingly took the out wrapping his arms around her waist. "But don't we look cute!" There was a story behind this. Hopper and Alice had dated. She was the one that helped him figured out he was gay.
"Ya." Aaron didn't know how to react.
"You know, we're about to go get some lunch, do you want to come?"
"Sure."
"'Sure.' Is not an answer." Alice replied.
"Yes, i would like to eat lunch with you."
Alice, who was now standing, sized Aaron up. Then went and got her bag.
"You two go on, I'll be there in a few."
Alices eyes widend, she saw what was going on. Aaron sensed Alice's tention. "You know, I have to go do something anyways, I'll just take a rain check."
"No."
Aaron looked at Hopper.
"Don't cancel plans because I'm running late on some work. I won't allow it. You two go on and I'll catch up when i can."
"Come one." Alice said walking out the door and down the hallway.
Aaron was confused and looked at Hopper for guidance or reasurance one.
"Go get her. You liker her, I can tell, and she hasn't had a date for a long time. Good luck, and be on your guard."
Aaron smiled and ran after Alice down the hallway, shutting the door behind him. Hopper laughed, "That boy is gonna kill himself getting Alice to notice him."
"I know, but they'd be good for each other."
Hopper jumped and turned to see Pillar leaning against the door. "I thought you went after your man."
"I did. Then i told Aaron that there was something crazy going on in room 371."
"And you came back to watch your chaos."
"I couldn't have done it without you."
"Did you see his face when he saw her smiling?"
"Alice would say that he has mental issues."
"How are you and your man doing?"
"I could ask the same thing about you."
Hopper looked down at the floor and his face turned cold. He got up and grabbed his notebook. "I have to go to the library." He said, and left the room.
"Well, he's touchy today."
