So today I went to a fleamarket in Gainesville called Pentigrass or something similar to that.
The place is really huge, and in case some of you don't know what a flea market is: its a rural mall, where you rent stalls to sell your stuff. My cousin and I went there to look at dogs for sell there. The pickings were a bit slim, but much better than any of the places I have been to so far. There were some shelties there, which are like miniture collies, or small "Lassie" like dogs. There were also some huskies, which I'd LOVE to get, but I need something small to fit into an apartment in case I ever get to move out. The one I was most interested in was the Chinese Crested I saw there. It had a wirey coat to it, and wasn't cut to that silly style they use at dog shoes. It was $350 and if I had been paid this week, I probably would have taken him home with me. I know I said I'd bring pictures, but I decided to leave my camera in the truck. The place was crowded and I didn't want to risk losing it. Besides, there wasn't much there to take pictures of anyway.
They did though, have many many swords and knives that were of good esthetic value. They had an incredibly detailed dagger of Arabic design that looked like it was made of gold and shaped like a griffon. They also had many that were very ornate and oriental looking, that looked carved from stone. A few of these would look very nice in my "World" room I would have when I get a place of my own. They were cheap also, so I may buy them.
I bought a game system that is in a controller, which has about 30ish Nintendo games in it. Including Duck Hunt, Hogan's Alley, Dig Dug, Mario, and Contra. It is definately some kind of hacked system thing from Asia and it looks like it barely works, but it is SIMPLE and just plugs into the vid/audio in/out plugs on front of my TV. So its good.
Pain. Pain is a brand of hot sauce that focuses alot on the taste of the sauce. Alot of hot sauces out there don't care what they taste like, they just want it hot. I finally bought some Pain at the little shop there, Cheyyanne Honey Mustard Pain. The stuff is DAMN good. They put different faces screaming on the label of the bottle for each flavor, I just really like the marketing. Right across the front it says "Pain is Good!". Other hot sauce brand names at that store:
Hot Buns on the Beach
Ass Reaper
This Sauce Tastes Like Shit
Eat Shit and Die
Flaming Shithouse
Damn That's Hot Shit
I think they make this stuff just to put silly names on them and have people buy them for novelty heh. I find it disturbing that they use "Shit" in the names more than "Hot" lol.
Well, I'm still on the lookout for a dog. We'll have to see about when my income tax comes in. I may decide to not compromise and go for the dog I've always wanted. It will hurt pretty bad to spend that much on a dog... oh well, we shall see.
