LOL THE GODS ARE TOTALLY IN MY MIND HOW WE RP THEM TOO. 8D

I basically agree with most of your thoughts, especially the absolutely excitement at getting more of the older characters than I ever thought and Greece. OH MY GOD FUCKING GREECE, YES, THIS IS GOING TO BE AMAZING.

This was my face when they're like "FUCK IT, LET'S GO TO GREECE."

I AM SO EXCITED. EVERYTHING ELSE THAT HAPPENS IN THE BOOKS WILL BE OVERSHADOWED BY THE FACT TAHT THEY ARE GOING TO GREECE. THEY ARE DOING THIS OLD SCHOOL.

Yes I just used bold to emphasise my capslock don't judge me.

I do like Piper ... when she's not around Jason. JUST GO AWAY JASON.

I have a theory about that. Ok, two theories. Do you think it's because we have trouble relating to Jason as a character because he's just so bland and so we just don't get what Piper is talking about? And this is then compounded by the fact that we KNOW Piper's memories of Jason aren't real, so how can she know him?

Or do you feel it's more a technical aspect of the writing and kind of obviously "This is the female gaze"?

It might be a combination of both, really. I just couldn't buy their love when it was based on nothing more than what the Mist told them to believe. Some of the scenes the Mist provided were really cute though, like the star gazing scene, and if that had been real, I probably would've liked them. It just seems like Piper's basing all her feelings off of something that doesn't exist and it just comes off as really superficial because that.

Yea, I agree. A lot of the time I was just like "... But that didn't actually happen Piper." ._______.

Obviously, I was expecting Piper to be a lot more interested in romantic aspects of the narrative given she's a daughter of Aphrodite, and I was okay with that. So I don't think I would have had as much of a problem if the memories weren't faked :\ But at the same time, I could totally understand why she wanted them to be real. But yea, I still thought she needed to get to know Jason a bit better before being like "Whatever, I still love you :D"
