Wow, so I can't even really think of what has happened since I last wrote, but I will try and cover anything I can recall(i.e. very little). I just looked at my last post date and it was exactly thirty days ago, so let me think about this.
I guess I can just go over what has gone on the whole summer, since it hasn't been a whole lot. I started working for
EMC a little while after I got home and I have never had more fun in a job than this. It is exactly in my field of study and school, the people I work with are great, and they pay well :). I'm still enjoying that job, and that's that.
I'm also taking two summer courses, which have actually been a pretty good time. I was taking Introduction to photography, which ended yesterday. It was a lot of fun, since I have been doing photography for many years, it was really easy, but I still learned a few obscure facts about some filters and techniques that should improve my pictures, and the people in my class were great. Sunish and Abby where by far the best we had a lot of fun since we all have been doing this stuff for years and really just got As all class and enjoyed ourselves. I'm still in my Calculus I class, and it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected, our teacher is great. It is nearly as hard and boring as the class I was in that I dropped first semester at URI, and most importantly, this one isn't at 8am like that one was. I think this class ends next Wednesday, but I'm not really sure.
I am pretty sure I did a few fun things this summer, but only two really stand out in my Mind, and both of them were at good old Sandy Bottoms in RI at the wonderful Danielle's house. On 06/17 I went down for the weekend for the first party of the summer there, and talk about drinking a bit much and just really having a good time. I got to see all of my friends from school and just relax in a crowd that I enjoy being around, it was one of the most relaxing nights i have had this summer so far. I didn't do much after that until 07/02, when I went down to Danielle's again to take her and Granger to the event that is definitely the highlight of my summer... the Ben Folds concert at the Sunset Music Festival down in Newport! It was awesome. As soon as I got there, I saw Sunish was there to take pictures for his website, it was an awesome coincidence that he was in RI at the concert. The concert was held under a pavilion at the Newport Yachting center and even the furthest seats back seemed like they were within spitting distance of the stage, it was great. We ended up standing on a table outside of the tent looking in through one of the huge opening because it got us more towards the center and the sound was just as good. We met a girl named
Emily(in the center) who I ended up having a great talk with. We were all supposed to meet up at the beach after the concert, but the beach patrol and cops were kicking everyone out when we got there because they have nothing better to do... assholes. After that night I have really just been at work and school, they take up most of my days until next week when my second class ends and I will have is work until the end of the summer.
Well I'm surprised that a whole summer and more than a month since my last post has fit into this little write-up, but I guess this is what it is like in the real world with a 9-5 computer job and classes to take.... oh well, I might not be going out all the time, but I will go back to school with experience in my field, a few fun times with Granger and Danielle, and a lot of money :). I promise to write more often, I hope you are all having a great summer!
Oh, yeah, I almost forgot...
HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY GRANGER KENLY!
Rock on man, we all love you!
