Friday the Thirteenth, oh what a day

I had gotten to getting some work done at work, finally (having gotten a series of dependencies resolved) rocking out to my pandora mix when I saw my phone which I had put on the desk in front of my monitor flash, and display ringing. My mate was calling.

I pulled off the headphones to get told that we need to get a new dog walker, he's not walking the dogs and some issue with shopping.  There was a defensive sounding yelling in the background, then it devolved into incoherent screaming.  I hung up.

I've been having chibiabos be a dog walker and general domestic helper for some time, since I moved to Columbus in November.  Things haven't always been super smooth, but I don't expect that life will always be smooth.  We have disagreements, Chibiabos has an infuriating victim mentality which causes him to limit himself excessively in nyriad ways.  I want him to overcome those things but he doesn't seem interested.  As long as the dogs get walked and Dhugal gets errands done, that's good enough, though, right?

Well, a few google talk conversations continued while I was at work, making it clear that chibiabos felt he had been told to leave by Dhugal.

Later during some discussions about what had happened it became clear that Dhugal was speaking about the inexplicable delays in walking the dogs when they needed to go out (taking the dogs out at 11 am instead of 8 am) and the shopping problem being that his attempt to make a multi-errand trip was aborted by chibiabos stating he was in too much pain to continue doing more errands.

The pain is assumptive (as he never was clear to me about what level of pain he was experiencing from what) from psoriasis, which we have repeatedly suggested he at least attempt take care of with things as simple as exposing the problematic areas to sunshine, indoors, when the sun is actually shining (which happens with some regularity with my large south facing sliding glass door and a window)  but he never did, nor did hen ever explain why he would not even when challenged on the issue.  He never asked me to help him pay for a doctor visit or a prescription either.

Dhugal also told me, upon some pressing, that he had been 'hit' - or more precisely, shoved, in anger.  That is, technically speaking, assault and battery, which does approach a level of concern that further association is going to require a discussion and resolution of that issue before any resumption of habitation.

Anyway, I'm out a dog walker now, last I heard from him he was somewhere to the northeast of Columbus with no destination in mind.  I'll let him, as an adult, figure out what he is going to do now.  Me, I just have to take my dogs out myself now, which is annoying, but life goes on.  Maybe I'll find another candidate soon.
