Week by week
I don’t hate my job, but I really love the weekend and always look forward to it. I’d like my job better if I was working in an industry that I had interest in, road construction/manufacturing is not too exciting. And if I could specialize more in system admin server stuff instead of a lot of help desk tech support, which is super draining to me.
I had another nice typical weekend. It seemed way too short though. Luckily I took this Thursday off.
I didn’t sleep well last night, weird dreams and thoughts.
Last weekend I bought Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. It is a relatively short linear story game with basic combat and puzzles. I was mostly interested in it because it’s about mental illness, and the game plays like a metaphor of psychosis or schizophrenia, hearing voices and fighting the “darkness.” Also seems to be a bit about grief and overcoming loss. The story was very cryptic but interesting. The graphics were amazing. I enjoyed it.
Life is Strange 2 was announced and episode 1 is coming out in September, I’m hyped for that. There’s a free game that just came out called The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit that is like a prelude to Life is Strange 2 or something. So I’m going to play that this week.
My Samsung tablet’s battery is not holding a charge for very long now. I think I’ve had it for 3 years now. So I plan on replacing it with a Chromebook sometime soon. Maybe another Samsung since I like their displays.
