Only added a little over 600 words; most of them in a Prologue, which I need as an info dump. Different points of view with many degrees of overlap. Opposing forces, and a mysterious past. Shape.
I would have written more, but the distraction in the need for more research claimed my time. Four plus hours of online reading. History stuff. Lots of History stuff.
