Ok, I'd first like to point out that today is Father's Day and that I last updated on Mother's Day. Not important but a coincedience. Today was Chris's birthday and he being a father, his father's day. We went to the beach (although everytime i say this i get a "it's the lake, it's not the beach, the beach is the ocean" and on and on blah blah... I was not raised on the west coast, a beach is water and sand for crying out loud). It was really fun. Skylin and Finnegan are real water babies. They loved it. Finn walked out to his neck, Sky was walking in the water and crawling with her face just inches from it, and it didn't seem to bother her at all. Both of them went under, Skylin because she tried to let go of my head and fell, Finn because he thought he could swim. He was standing in the water and jumped forward thinking he could float, guess what? He couldn't. He was also jumping off the pier while I caught him.
Chris has been trying all day to teach Finnegan how to say dude. It isn't working. finn doesn't speak on command, he just suddenly says things, out of the blue with absolutely no warning. Rule number one with him, if he wants to he will, if he doesn't want to he won't. His favorite thing is to ignore.
We purchased our tickets and are now trying to plan our trip. I'm not sure how it will go because Chris wants to spend as much time as possible with his mom. Previously he had told me before the fair we didn't have to go to Eugene because his mom would be busy but now he isn't sure, he wants to talk with her about it. If we don't go to Eugene right away, we are flying in to Portland on the 8th of July and going right to Newport where we will spend the night and on Wednesday go to the aquarium. Wednesday night we will drive down to Eugene, to Jenny's. After the fair, Monday morning, my family is going up to Mt. Saint Helen's. This is something that we would do only if Jenny and Cameron also wanted to, otherwise I don't know what will be going on. Regardless, our plane leaves on the 17th out of portland.
I am really sorry that I haven't been updating I don't know what's wrong with me, but I am definately going to make a concious effort from now on. At least 3 times a week, minimum!
