I know we tried potty training for a couple months ago for a day or so but we quit. However, last night...
(Also posted this at the zoo)

A funny thing happened last night. Finn ran into the bathroom and squatted by the toliet. I was in the bathroom and so I asked him, "Finn, do you have to go potty?" "yeah," he said and so I sat him on the potty. Sure enough, with a big smile on his face, he peed. Numerous times today we have been sitting him on the potty today and he always smiles and tries. It's very funny because he looks down at his penis wondering why there is no potty coming out when he wants it to. 4 other times since last night he has ran into the bathroom to squat, but neither of us has got there fast enough and he ends up going in his diaper right next to the potty. Today, with his diaper off, he started leaking a little pee and Chris said, "Buddy, do you have to go potty?" He stopped and said yeah. Chris took him into the bathroom and he went on the potty! We are so proud of him only being 21 months old and starting to potty train himself. Everything we hear about potty training boys is all bad "oh it's so hard" "they never want to stop playing long enough to go" "good luck, but I wouldn't start potty training until he was at least 2" Hopefully Finn is on the road to potty training. We are going to have to get a potty chair to put in the living room I think.
